As the two girls got up, Katie noticed the ring there on the floor. Not remembering what it was, she slipped it on her diminutive finger and the ring shrank to fit it. As it fit, katie and Kelly didn't notice that they were still changing. The two were growing, aging, and their clothes changing with them. IN moments, the two were preteens, coming around a corner, Katie grinned.
"Boo!"
Kelly gasped, "Katie! You scared me!"
Katie giggled, "Sorry Kelly, I couldn't help it! I can't believe my mom let us have a sleepover on our own for once!"
Kelly nodded, "Your mom's so cool, but then again, your my best friend, so she'd have to be."
Neither noticed the pictures on the wall showing them as they once had been. Taking her new "Friend" by the hand, Katie brought her upstairs. "You know, its kinda funny, I almost think we were like sisters."
Kelly nodded, "I know what you mean, we look so alike! But that's just coincidence!"
"Yeah, but it would be neat if we were." Katie said.
"Hey, what's that?" Kelly said, noticing the ring on Katie's finger. "Oh, its just an old ring I found, nothing special."
"Huh, its pretty," Kelly said. "can I try it on?"
Kelly nodded, not wanting to separate anything from her friend. "Sure!"
