Katie happily handed her "friend" the ring. "I'll let you borrow it for a little while Kellie," she said. "Just don't break it okay there's something about it I really like."
Kellie smirked at Katie as she placed the ring on her finger. "Oh Katie your such a worry wart," she sighed. "I promise I won't break it."
The two 12 year Olds began to descend the stairs, talking of what they would do with the house to themselves. "Its so cool that your mom is trusting us to be by yourselves for the whole night," Kellie stated. "Too bad were not old enough to drive it be so cool if we had a car."
The ring picked up on Kellie's unconscious wish and began to glow as the girls padded into the kitchen. Unaware of the rings power the girls slowly began to age up becoming teens. Slowly their height increased and their curves returned. Quickly the two girls became 14 as they continued to look for something to eat.
As Katie reached for a cup on the top shelf she paused. In her memory she had always had to stretch and stand on tiptoe to reach those cups now she found her feet were flat on the ground. "Hey Kellie," Katie said as she became 15. "I think I'm having a tall day."
Kellie looked at her new friend with a puzzled look on be face. "What do you mean?" she asked. "I used to have to stretch to reach this cup now I can reach it without a problem."
Kellie giggled softy. "Well we are 15...I mean 16."
"Yeah," Katie said. "That's weird seems like we were kids not that long ago."
Puzzled the two teens looked around the kitchen before looking at eachhother. "Wow why would I think I was 15," Kellie said. "We celebrated are birthday awhile ago."
"Maybe you just like being a little girl Kellie," Katie laughed. "You didn't have to deal with braces when you were younger."
Absentmindedly Kellie ran her tongue inside her mouth. The braces felt familiar yet odd, like they weren't there a moment ago. Shaking her head she looked at Katie with a bemused look.
"Ha ha," she stated sarcastically. "So what should we do tonight Katie or do you want to keep making fun of me."
Kate laughed and looked her friend. "I don't know lets do something fun," Katie paused and looked at the ring. "Hey where did you get that ring."
Kellie looked down at the ring that was on her finger. She wasn't quite sure where it had come from. "I don't know," she said. "You want it."
Katie nodded enthusiastically as Kellie handed her the ring. "Thanks Kellie," she said. "Ill keep it safe. So what should we do. Mom left the car in the garage, you want to go out?"
The two teens now thought about how to spend their night.
