Tears well up in your eyes as you stair in terror at the fossilized remains of your father on the table in front of you.
"Don't worry," the digitized voice plays overhead, "I assure you your father lived out a full life. My analysis shows that SHE lived for several more years," with emphasis on the word "she".
"Although I assure you her human memory was always there, her instincts allow her to survive as a bottom feeder, and I'm sure she had many offspring, some of which may have been the ancestors of modern fish".
You kick and squirm furiously, still tied to the chair.
"If it makes you feel better, your father still lives now in a different time dimension, so from her perspective it'll be merely like she was transported someplace else. So although now we see her ultimate fate, she still has many years to experience the miracle of life."
