"I, uh... half... eighty pounds?" Rachel whispers.
Mara takes the card and puts it in the pile. She shakes her head. "You should know better, I only said about, no way am I eighty, that is way too light,"
All four of the girls look at Rachel, the fifth, who starts blushing as time seems to stretch.
Julie starts, thinking maybe it was all a gimmick "Well, I wondered - oh!"
"WHAT?" Rachel blurts out, suddenly feeling herself changing. She grimaces as her skin gets tighter and tighter. She is losing mass all over at the same time. As she slims more and more all the girls can do is watch, dumbfounded, as the sports goddess transforms to a skinny shade. Not unhealthy, but thin enough for a top model, by a looong shot.
"Oh, no." Says Sam. "That's crazy." as Rachel stops losing weight,
"Rachel" Amy asks, reaching out but not touching yet. "How are you doing?"
Rachel looks at her arms and legs and exhales. "hooooooo... I think alright." She perks up, excited this is real. "Didn't hurt!"
Nervous laughter fills the air.
Mara slides over the chips and salsa, "Here, you look like you need this, Rache." Rachel smiles and Sam laughs. Everyone breaks and laughs, too.
Rachel looks at the chance cards while taking a chip and decides she is absolutely fine right now. No need to be hasty or take all the firsts. She looks at Sam, "You're up."
Sam's laughter turns a little nervous, again, as she draws a card.
