Your eyes snap open.

You see nothing in any direction, save yourself. You feel weightless, floating there.... You hear emptiness, not nothing, but rather a sound that echos into your soul, a sound of a profound lack of anything at all...

You instantly squeeze your eyes shut and attempt to wake up. Failing that, you resign yourself to whatever nightmare your brain has in store for you.

You float in void and wait for whatever horror will inevitably arrive. You wait, and wait, and wait... This is the most boring nightmare ever.

Bored out of your mind, you start daydreaming. You have this little game for when you're bored where you try to visualized every detail of a person. It's normally extremely difficult, and it improves your memory, or at least, you assume it does. But this time is different, you start to imagine your twin sister, one of your only real friends, and instead of a vague face, slowly solidifying in your mind, she appears fully formed. Her face is correct down to the last detail. It's shocking to you, who has never been able to recall someone so perfectly, and so quickly. Puzzlingly, the image of your sister in your minds eye seems equally as surprised. It moves to a whole new level though, the second she says, "James?" Your eyes almost pop out of your head as you realize that your sister isn't in your imagination, but rather right there, floating with you in the abyss. "James, where are we?" She asks. Of course, she doesn't really expect an answer, she knows as well as you that you're incapable of speech. You simpl shrug, not quite finished with the though process in your head. You were thinking about her, concentrating on her, and she appeared. Is this simply a lucid dream? You concentrate on a floor, not so much a specific floor, but rather just a floor existing, that and gravity, you kind of miss it right now...

A black and white marbled checkerd floor appears, you have a second to stare at it as you and your sister slam into it. A thump rattles off into the emptiness. You pull yourself up; it really wasn't even half an inch, but you weren't expecting it. You'd be embarrassed, but your sister fell too. "Owwww," your sister groans and rolls herself over, "Where'd that come from..." You kind of agree with her sentement, it didn't hurt that much, but that's not to say you enjoy the aching bruises that it left. Your thought process haults as you realize that you made the floor appear, what's a little bruise then? You simply think of the bruises not being there, not even ever appearing, and the aches simply disappear.

Reaching down, you start to help your sister up. You get about halfway before your sister lets out a yelp. "My ankle." She says grimacing, "It landed weirdly." Your give her a look of worry, then you wonder if you should let her know that you have control. On one hand, you trust her absolutely, on the other, you could have some fun if she didn't/ After a quick debate with yourself, you decide to be theatrical. You concentrate on, in quick succession, first being able to know what your sister's thinking, then on you being able to make your hands grow a soft warm green, you can imagine exactly what it would be like in your minds eye, a soothing green, like the grass on a sunny day mixed with the feel of the warm sun itself. Your first concentration immediately kicks in, "Erg, this is a really weird dream. I've never had a dream this painful. Actually, I've never had a dream where anyone acted the way James is either, he's acting realistic, like an actual person...." The thoughts continue, but at this point, you stop paying attention, she has a very good point. You've never seen a dream where you were this aware, and other people seemed to be realistic, is it possible that this is actually your sister, not a dream figure of her. You logically, quickly discard this idea, but something inside of you remains convinced, now that the idea has been broached. Getting on with it, you sign a series of symbols towards your sister that roughly equates to be patient and trust me. She flashes you a look of confusion, then you reach down for her ankle. She immediately pulls it away, then winces and straightens it again quickly. You glare at her, as her thoughts rush at you, "What is he doing?" The sole thoughts in her hear are utter confusion as you reaching down slowly towards her ankle, giving her a look so she keeps still. At this point, you close your eyes, turn on the glowing of your hands, and concentrate on her ankle being healed.

To your surprise, a warm feeling rushes from your hands. As you open your eyes, you see the light engulfing her ankle, a feeling like a warm summers breeze eminating off of it. Jessie's look of surprise quickly melts into one of absolute contentment as she sighs and relaxes, almost melts, out of her tense position. Through the thought connection, you can feel a portion of what she's feeling, it's a feeling that can't really be described. It feels like the sun on your skin, the wind in your hair, the cool breeze wrapping around you, the covers on a cold night, the comforting embrace of a family member to a child, and the embodiment of being cared for. It's a feeling that nothing can go wrong, that all is right in the world, that you will be protected. You feel only a portion of this as you heal your sister's ankle, but soon enough, you're finished, the light dwindles into your hands, and Jessie's expression dwindles from one of bliss, to merely a feeling of calmness. She opens her eyes and seems to be trying to say something, you give her a second to compose herself, hearing the thoughts race through her head, and instead think about the light. To your surprise, you now have an absolute certainty that the light will heal anyone, or anything, living that it touches. However your mind is doing this, it seems to be uncousciously filling in the blanks and making associations so that you only need to have a general idea of what you want. The possabilities flit through your head, but you're interrupted by your sister. "Thanks, but how did you.... how did that light... I mean just..."

You hold out your hand, signaling her to stop, and then, you decide to.......
