You open your eyes and your first memories which would be forgotten relatively quickly started forming. Some people around you were talking some language.
A voice of some woman carrying you said "Please won't you take her? My kind are no good at taking care of our own kind."
some more elderly lady responded "But a Succubus? it may be a bit... problematic with conditions you people need to do."
"No No No! A lot of that stuff are exaggerated myths, actually until puberty we are almost identical to humans. Just say Sara here was put on the doorstep and claim she was a human." The conversation continued and after some pleading you felt yourself being given. The hands you were placed in were compassionate, but somehow it felt less gentle. It was a little hard and you ended up crying a bit however you managed to sleep in peace. A few days after your entry into the orphanage in some village you were adopted by a couple who just had given birth to a child for some reason.
Skip five years you were woken up by your twin brother Stan kicking the top bunk of your bunk bed.
Annoyed you tiredly said "stop kicking our bed... please?"
Stan said "Come on it's our birthday! let's go get ready for school and then come back for our little trip to the city for the weekend." You tiredly went down the ladder, you were excited about going to the city. Your little town was nice and all but most of the races that lived there were humans with an occasional dwarf here and there, but the city had so many different races and things to do. You of course was right, towering skyscrapers and magical words floating around describing stores and ares in the area. So many different types of people. Some fairies flying above the words, some kitty people skittering around your legs. You explored museums that humans could explore fully and learned more about why some races could use magic and why others couldn't. Something having to do with how bodies gain their energy. You ate a meal at a nice restaurant with your family and open a present with your brother. Stan got some game handheld which he started playing while you got a nice doll whose special ceramics mimicked a body similar to a regular human's.
You said "Thanks..."
Stan asked "Something the matter?"
you had felt like you were treated a little worse than Stan always but you said "It's nothing." You named the little female doll "Aras" and kept it with you as a decoration as you started growing up. It was very average, you and Stan kept learning at a school and having fun as kids and then you two graduated elementary school where you would start changing schools depending on skills and talent. These tests being taken in the city which you were excited to go.
