You excitedly went over to a small theater showing a well known warlock named Scion who was known to do amazing magic tricks. You've only heard of him through some gossip among the maids, but he just sounded amazing. Expecting that you would need money you had a significant amount in your purse and when you ordered a ticket you had enough for the ticket and a tip. You weren't sure if the custom of tipping was appropriate here, but the clerk had no objections to taking the money and you had no objections to helping out the working class. You were a few minutes early but the theater was already fairly full and you were only able to get a seat in the back. Not wanting to show anyone that you were petty to use your social position to get you a front row seat you happily sat in the back. The lights dimmed as the warlock walked onto stage. His face and body was shrouded in a well shroud that seemed to be made out of a night sky.
Scion's voiced boomed through the theater "Welcome to my show! Thank you very much for buying tickets and showing your support to my tricks and magic in general. I'd like to say again that a portion of the profits are given to magic universities to allow for the progression of our knowledge of magic. Now then time to apply some of that knowledge now shall we? I'd like two volunteers... let's see who to pick... Ah of course two people from the very back, those that would have the hardest time seeing the trick." he twirled his index finger in the air and two wisps appeared and he said "Come on my little wisps find two suitable people for my trick."
Your heart thumped as a wisp came and snuggled right in your bosom and sneaked into your body and made it glow. You thought to yourself "No no no! I'm doing this in secret i can't go on stage... I know I have that enchantment that makes me look different, but still I shouldn't go up there!"
Scion said "Ah yeah... I can tell right now why the wisps chose you two, you'll make excellent volunteers." You body felt light as Scion continued "Come on and float your way onstage you two!" you felt your body float up and drift to the stage. You knew if you made a commotion here you'd probably get found out so you made sure to not make much commotion except for trying to cover your skirt as you floated right over the eyes of a packed theater.
Landing on the stage Scion said "Hello you two mind if I asked for your names and if you have any job?"
You spat out "I'm called Sonia by many, and I happen to be a student studying a bit of magic myself... This is a good opportunity to see a professional." You saw his eyes that were barely visible off of stage and you didn't think you were fooling the warlock. The warlock breed definitely were able to see through illusions, but thankfully he wasn't going to say anything."
Scion responded "Indeed. I've heard from previous volunteers that watching me close up gave them ideas about how to perform certain spells and were successful at, and most of them knew nearly nothing about magic other than well..." He waved his hand in the air summoning and bunch of sparkling stars that flooded the ceiling and jokingly said "Sparkles!!!" The stars faded and then he said "And from our other volunteer who might you be?"
