Katie had an idea, just right for what her Mom seemed to be waking into doing. Quietly, she wished that all three girls were registered at the school, and that the ring would take care of future wishes. Then she turned to her mother. "Maybe we are figuring it out mom. The magic seems to affect us whenever you accept what's happening to you. Maybe the three of us could go to school, be a little bit older or younger, if you asked for it?"
Kellie looked to Katie. She hadn't thought about it, but it did make sense. The changes seemed to affect some of the ways she was thinking and acting now, and more changes happened the more she seemed to enjoy being a kid. "That's not a bad idea...but how do we know if it works?"
"Try making a wish," Grace suggested. "But you have to really, really believe in magic, like a kid does."
"Alright, Kellie said. She closed her eyes tightly as she could. "I wish..."
