Stan turned the time machine to a week or so before he would be conceived. He felt that there were some things about himself that he wanted to change, but even his medicines wouldn't affect him as good as it would affect someone younger. What better time to change someone then literally before they were born though? He had prepared some medicine that would affect his conception and the chemical composition inside the womb of his mother. He set the time and place he wanted to go to and the time machine whirred into action transporting him in some dark alley. He pretty much parked it there and made it sort of vanish out of existence as part of a "lock" feature. He walked to a cafe in europe where he knew his parents were having a pleasant honeymoon and ordered some tea and waited for his parents to go to the cafe.
They ordered their coffee and with nowhere else to sit they asked if they could sit at your table outside. You nodded yes towards your parents and then they started drinking their coffee.
your father said "how's the coffee honey?"
your mother responded "A little bitter, I think it's just black."
Taking the medicine out of your pocket in a sugar packet you said "I have a little extra sugar if you want."
a little suspicious at the timing but grateful your mother took the sugar packet and after taking a sip said "thanks, that tastes a lot better. What brand is that? it tastes... different."
you were sad that she could actually tell that the sugar wasn't really sugar and said "It's a bit of a homebrew, I work in the food industry and have been trying to make different types of sugar. Maple syrup sugar for pancakes, chocolate and caramel for coffee, etc. That one was just a little different from regular sugar."
Your mother kept drinking it and said "I'd ask for a formula, but it's a secret isn't it?"
you nodded and said "Well have a nice day." and left as your mother drank up the rest of her coffee you got to your time machine and started to feel a little odd. As the time machine traveled further to the present you started to change and the change was.
