"Uh, sorry about that" said Ander, unable to look his erstwhile partner in the eye. She returned a frosty glare, which then softened a bit. "Not really your fault" she answered. "But when I get my hands on whoever did this. . ."
"My name's Ander" he said.
"Zoanna. You're supposed to be good at tracking, so let's see where those bastards went, Ander." The other acolytes were recovering from their laughing attack and doing their best to avert their eyes as Zoanna and Ander shamefacedly put their clothes back on.

"They will taste my wrath!" said Luka, brandishing the sword that had formerly belonged to the acolyte captain, still placidly shoveling manure.
Luka's muscle-flexing was making Mika a little weak in the knees, but he pulled himself together to say "Maybe you should get some protection?"
"Wait a second" said Lyra "I think I see someone over there, behind those bushes."
"I see him too" said Yvana.
Audrey pulled out her crossbow. She would have to leave the shield of protection to get a clear shot, but at this point her desire to see the people who kept transforming her die painful deaths overrode all else. She exchanged a glance with Lyra.
Audrey dropped, rolled out of the shield, came up at the window and fired. She heard a cry of pain, then rolled back into the protection of the shield, grinning.
Meanwhile, Mika was fussing with some old leather armor he had found in the stable. It looked like it had once belonged to a ranger. Fortunately, as Luka would never have accepted heavy mail which would have slowed him down.

Jaka was still standing in the yard, as he was too big to come into the stables easily. What is that, said Jaka as he felt a slight sting. In the next moment he was transformed into a chicken.
