Commander Victory said, “For now, there is nothing else that needs be done. You have your alter-ego and you know who we are. Since all of that business has been addressed, we can all leave.”
Immediately I saw Lady Lightning start to go out of focus. “Oh, dear,” she said. “That’s all Bradley needs to hear. Goodbye, everybody! See you soon!” In a minute she had become Bradley again. As soon as he was back to normal, he looked at all of us and said, “Later.” With that, he was gone from the room.
“When you change back the first time,” said Commander Victory, “you will likely feel some discomfort and possibly pain, just like when you became what you are now.”
“Thanks for the warning,” I said. I could see that the other three were already beginning to change back. I concentrated hard and thought about turning back into Joe. A few seconds later I felt the changes coming over me. They started with me costume actually disappearing. All the paint disappeared and so did me boots. I noticed that Commander Victory’s costume disappeared before he started to change back as well.
I watched uncomfortably as me titties began to shrank into me body. Me body did definitely feel odd as I lost me figure and me body started to look male again. At least I didn’t feel any pain. Slowly I felt the changes happening in me head and I could feel me personality slipping away. Me body looked like Joe’s again and when I saw his cock growing back, that’s when I fell to the floor. Me mind was……
……I felt the cold floor underneath me and I realized I was naked. I instinctively wished for my clothes to be on again. I could still feel the cold of the floor but much less severely now. Slowly I picked myself up off the floor. Victoria, Allan and Julie were all changed back, fully dressed and sitting at the table. “How do you feel?” asked Victoria.
“Like I’ve been on the longest, strangest drug trip,” I said. “I mean, I think. I’ve never been on a drug trip, so…”
“I understand metaphors, Joe,” said Victoria. “I think you should stay here for a few minutes and collect yourself. Allan and Julie will stay for a few minutes, but I must leave. I will see you again soon.” With that, she was gone.
I sat down at the table. “Does it always feel like this?” I asked.
“No,” said Allan. “You’ll get used to it pretty quickly.” I rubbed my head repeatedly. “I’ll bet that you have a bit of a headache, and some more questions, don’t you?”
“Yes to both,” I said. “You two are the longest serving members, right?” They both nodded. “So why do you suppose you have the alter-egos you do?”
Julie answered, “I become a sexless, emotionless robot. Considering my addiction, I think that’s perfectly understandable, don’t you?”
“I guess,” I said. “I’m still trying to wrap my head around a lot of this. But do you yourself feel anything…especially when Shifter disconnects his head?”
“Its head,” Julie corrected. “Remember, it’s not a ‘he.’ No, I don’t really feel anything. We can remember what our alter-ego says and does, but we don’t really retain anything physical, in that sense. Do you remember how it felt to almost hit the ceiling when you jumped?”
“No, no, I don’t,” I said.
“There you go,” she said. “Anything else you want to ask me?”
Of course there was, I thought to myself. There were a lot of things. But I couldn’t ask any of them now. “No, I think that’s it,” I said. “If you have to go, don’t let me hold you up.”
She raised an eyebrow at me. I wondered if she could tell I had more on my mind. Something told me that I didn’t do a good job of disguising what I really thought, so I was going to assume she did. She stood up and said, “See you soon.” Then she, too, disappeared.
