“I can’t believe it! She’s coming to me! It’s been so long since a human other then or keepers petted me!” German Shepard bitch exclaims happily in canine. “She’s probably just coming to put you down since no one wants you!” Mocks the Dane from the other side of the corridor. “No she won’t! Look! She even reaches out her hand to pet me!” The German Shepard happily pushes out her muzzle between the cage bars to lick Kate’s hand.
“Aaah! It’s trying to eat my hand!” Kate screams and quickly pulls away her hand. Behind Kate’s back Sarah frowns at Kate’s ignorance to canine behaviour and body language. She forces her face to a more friendly expression as Kate turns around. “No she didn’t try to bite you, look, she’s wagging her tail. She likes you” Sarah calms her down and points at the dog’s wagging tail. Kate doesn’t turn around to look. “I think I better go back to the children”
“No, wait!” Three voices say at once, two in canine and one in English. Kate jumps a bit because of the simultaneous barks of the two dogs. “I’ve got a really friendly Golden retriever bitch just around the corner” Sarah continues. Kate looks a bit uneasy. “I don’t know… I think I’ve had enough of petting for one day. I need to get back to the children now” Kate turns around and starts walking down the corridor. Darn… no time to be picky about the breed she thinks and quickly pulls out one of the seven syringes she have pre-prepared in her in breast pocket. With a couple of quick steps she’s managed to catch up with Kate and stabs the syringe into her shoulder, injecting it’s contents into her body. “Ouch!” She shrieks and grabs her shoulder. Now I just need to get her clothes off quickly, lock her into one of the kennels, change one of the dogs into Kate and put on the Kate’s clothes on the Kate copy. Sarah thinks as she prepares for Kate’s reaction to the shot. I don’t trust that Victoria is capable of taking care of children Sarah thinks to herself as she is reminded of the time when Robert became the Leonberger puppy he is now.
