Jerry, Scion and audience look at the hole where the griffin had taken the girl. “THIS IS BAD!!!” Scion shouted, putting his hands on his head. “THIS IS REAL BAD!!! BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD!!!”
“Get a hold of yourself!” Jerry shouted, slapping Scion in the face. He then pointed at a random person in the audience. “You! You got a cell phone?”
“Yeah?”
“Then call the police, tell them Sergeant Devin needs them at 26nd on Bovine Avenue.” The person got their phone called the police. Jerry looked down at the note and unfolded it.
“You seem to have got over your stage fright.” Scion said, trying to calm down.
“This is an emergency crime scene! There is no room for stage fright!” Jerry looked at the note and read it in his mind.
It said:
Dear Cops,
We have taken Princess FireLight of the Phoenix Kingdom. We wish to have ten billion dollars in clean, small bills at any random location, we will find it. If you do not give us the money or any of us get arrested or killed, we will kill the princess. You have the one week.
“Ha jokes on them!” Jerry said, putting the note in an evidence bag. “They got the wrong person.”
“But they didn’t!” Scion shouted, having read the note over Jerry’s shoulder. “That WAS Princess FireLight! I don’t know why but she had an illusion and spying spell over her! THAT’S WHY I’M FREAKING OUT!!”
“Calm down, you said there was a spying spell on her? We can just use that to find her!” Jerry thought he had this in the bag, but he was wrong, so wrong.
A pink mist came from nowhere and lomed over the city, then, every non-human creature in the city was drained of their magic. Mermaids sank, Griffins fell, Sphinxes couldn’t think of any riddles. This. Was. Chaos. It was everyone's best guess best guess that this was the kidnappers work, trying to make the police the royal guards of the Phoenix Kingdom powers useless, forcing them to pay the ransom to save the Princesses life.
