Mew was clever, intelligent, and driven, she was while human, and she was now (after all, the contract was never intended to destroy the soul of the signer). Only she was STILL has short sighted and devoid forward thinking as she had been while human too!
The Master had NEVER intended to change the whole world, the whole city, or even that gigantic a number. His plan had been for those who were without jobs anyway, and his contract with them ended at his death, choosing whether to keep their new selves or return to their old selves, and were all listed legally as his heirs. Only now, not only would there be a rather ugly power struggle among his servants when he did die, but there was no way people WEREN'T going to notice this!
The Master had known discretion was the better part of valor. And had never intended the changed to happen to so many, so scattered.
Thankfully those who had their computer update automatically, this did not trigger the magic, as it did NOT apparently count of signing the contract of their own free will since it was not the original agreement with the computer companies they had originally clicked 'Agreed' to.
But that still left many, many people who did manually update, and did click agree without reading the walls of text, and those who did thought it was just a prank.
All across the country, people changed: some in internet cafes, some on their personal computers alone at one, others at their cubicles. But all of them became female if they weren't already. Some had their ages cut in half, a number lost only a few years, and some ended up on the wrong side of puberty.
All of them became various types of cat girls, some full anthro, some with only the ears and tail and some other traits, some with that odd 'fur bikini' mix between the two.
Their clothes of course changed too, become everything from cliche french maid uniforms, to laughably revealing ones you wouldn't see outside of an anime, to conservative ones with only their faces, ears, tail, and hair uncovered. Each one becoming a cat girl maid that was based around who they had been before and their job before, translated into the context of 'Cat Girl Maid.'
One thought filled their heads. They had signed a contract to be servants of Master, and they'd do so to the best of their ability.
Some humans shouted, some fainted, some called the police, others animal control, some thought they were dreaming or hallucinating, some thought they were in the middle of an alien invasion. The various cat girls maids, thankfully none of them being quite as 'smart yet stupid' as Mew, knew better than to mention Master in any shape or form (and it might be better to just play dumb) least a fully armed SWAT team arrived to arrest or shoot a crippled man.
With their numbers having gone from a relatively small to . . . NOT small at all . . . things were . . . awkward.
