Becky was extremely nervous as she sat in the Transformation Center. The blonde teen loved her body and her life, but she was facing spending the rest of it as a fish. Her skin was smooth and tan but would soon be hard and scaly... and what did a cod do, exactly? Was she to be used for breeding? Did they keep cod on farms, or let them loose into the sea? Rivers? Lakes?
Becky was called into the room - which looked much like a regular doctor's office - and was quickly told to strip. The middle-aged doctor seemed hurried, like Becky was just one in a long list of girls to be transformed today.
A tub was being filled by a nurse in the center of the room. The nurse beckoned the now naked Becky to sit in the water. Becky shivered as she stepped in, and noticed that this was not regular water - it was salt water, from the sea. She didn't care much for the smell of sea water, and disliked the feeling against her bare skin.
With the prick of a needle, her transformation into a cod began. Her skin began to tingle gently all over, crawling somewhat. Her mouth and throat went dry as the changes affected her internally, too. Soon she could feel her midriff swelling, her vaginal lips sealing over as her legs began to merge from the pelvis down. Soon she had just one thick leg, and it was being covered in scales.
For the briefest moment, Becky felt like a mermaid. She actually smiled to herself. "Maybe this won't be so bad," she made the mistake of saying out loud.
The doctor just laughed. "If you have visions of the Little Mermaid, you're sorely mistaken. You'll make a beautiful cod, but they live quite differently to Ariel and her friends. You'll either be farmed for breeding or released to contribute to a wild ecosystem. But in either case, you'll either end up on a human dinnerplate or in the stomach of another fish. Cod is delicious with breadcrumbs, from memory."
Becky was on the verge of tears, but she couldn't do much now. Her hands webbed and then began to shrink into her arms, which in turn shrank into her body. Her breasts flattened against her chest and fins grew out from her increasingly scaly body. Her eyes turned big and beady as her head shrank into her neck. Her hair began to shed in clumps and her teeth fell loose, too.
Soon, Becky was a huge cod, most of her human characteristics gone. The nurse wheeled out the tub as new hardships began for Becky.
