"I can't" shrieked Tobi. "I can't fix her! I don't have the power anymore! Not with her gone!" The "evil" side of Tobi's personality has apparently taken much of Tobi's magical power with her.
"Hold steady" shouted Mika. "We need to get out of here!"
Ignoring the ministrations of Tobi and Mika, Amber's body was changing, as her animagus abilities desperately tried at an unconscious level to find a form that would be immune to the demonic poisoning. Her skin turned into scales, then green scales, as her fingers shrank into claws and a tail emerged from her posterior. Her face sharpened as her tongue flicked in and out of her mouth, now lined with razor-sharp teeth. Both Mika and Tobi stared helplessly as the giant tree-lizard scampered into the upper reaches of the tree of transformation.
"Now!" shouted Luka, as he could see the cloud moving ever-closer to Mika and Tobi. Mika would be immune to transformation, of course, but Luka wasn't sure what other nasty powers the cloud had. Mika took Tobi by the hand and led her onto the hand of Jak, who had been expanded by the rock into not just an ogre but a giant ogre.
Shari was so stunned by Amber's transformation that she froze. Her father desperately grabbed her and tossed her to Luka, who caught her safely and placed her on the platform of Jak's enlarged hand, then turned to seize Mika fiercely in his arms and kiss him.
But it was too late for the Duke himself, who screamed as the cloud engulfed him.

Marge felt the rock cry out to him as Lyra began to put it away after transforming Jak. "Help me, help me, we can have so much fun together."
He squirmed out of Zoanna's grip and lunged for it.
