Justin smiled as Jake began to mount the steps to Christie's house. Silently he wished that christie was near their age, and that everyone remembered she'd been. She was just a little older, so Jake would have been a little shy to speak to an older girl. Justin felt the ring warm and he saw Christies car vanish from the drive way and be replaced by a pink bike sort of like theirs in terms of model. Her eyes were bright hazel as they'd always been but she wore pink glasses that bridged her freckled nose. She smiled when she saw Justin as they were now in the same glass.
Jake was talking, acting bashful, and Justin came closer. He saw that Christie was wearing a dress with tights, her feet bare upon the floor, but she had soccer shoes near by. Eventually she giggled and nodded something and closed the door.
"Well?" Justin asked.
"She's gonna get some stuff and come with us!" Jake said
