Chris was hitting the dummy hard, watching as the head bounced off the turf and then propped itself back up like a spring! Meanwhile the football coach had walked into the locker room and saw the necklace sitting on the bench along with Chris clothing. He grabs the necklace and walks out onto the field shaking his head. " God damn kids will wear anything these days! I swear that linebacker out there needs to beef up, become a man like my defensive lineman!"
As he says this Chris begins to get a little more sluggish, not realizing his girth has just about doubled. As he pants with sweat his pads begin to change to that of defensive lineman, and his movement slows more. Soon Chris was a 305 pound behemoth hitting the dummy, his running becoming more or a quick waddle from all that muscle and fat. Finally he grows to fit his new uniform becoming about 6' 5". "Damn!" Chris said, "I really need to eat something soon! I'm freaking starving! Gotta get my fat ass to the buffet before I starve, but after my workout! After all coach is watching!"
Meanwhile coach was paying no attention to Chris, just holding the necklace in his hand and daydreaming. He thought about the new footballs he needed, and funny it would be if he turned that defensive lineman into a new professional collegiate football. With a glow of the necklace a strange thing occurred, and Chris began to change again! First his skin took a brownish tan color of leather. Then his body began to shrink as more girth took over. Chris didn't even notice as he went in for a last tackle. Finally as he lept into the air, his equipment began to fall to the ground as his body became a shiny new ball. As it clattered to the ground his helmet rolled off the the side. And the new Chris football hit the dummy with a spiral and a thud, causing it to fall over again. The new ball teatered back in forth in the hot sun, the equipment astrewn leading a trail up to the new ball.
Coach snapped out of his daydream and walked over to the mess on the field. "Kids got no respect for the game anymore! Don't even pick up there gear! At least I got a new ball for the equipment room! Pretty nice one too!" And coach grabs the gear and walks off
