Tate and Jamie are sitting in the reception area while Tate waits for his personal trainer to arrive. They are talking more about the content of the school newspaper article the boys are writing together and as usual Tate is a lot more enthusiastic about it than Jamie.
Tate appears to have lost even more weight since his first training session. He still hasn't really noticed it himself as talks ten to the dozen as usual but others including Jamie have definitely seen the difference in his appearance. Tate's skin even looks a little clearer and his hair slightly less greasy too.
A beautiful girl dressed in tight gym gear walks past the two boys. Suddenly Tate stops what he was saying mid-sentence. His attention has been completely taken away by the sight of the gorgeous girl as he watches her enter the gym area with his mouth almost wide open. Jamie leans forward and flicks his friend gently on the forehead with a smile.
"Sorry man" Tate says shyly as he returns to what he was saying, albeit with slightly less enthusiasm than before. As Steve arrives and Tate leaves Jamie, he can't help mull over how out of character that was for his testosterone lacking friend who is usual so passionate about what he's saying and never shown before an interest in gawping in girls like that.
In the gym. Tate is slightly more competent and energetic during his second session and more interested in doing well and impressing both Steve and some of the other gym goers. Particularly the more attractive girls he finds it difficult to keep his eyes off.
At one point, Steve pats the back of his client and says "Well done, bro" and Tate fills will pride.
At the end of the session, he is a lot more interested than before in studying for any changes in his appearance. He is pleased to note that he does look slimmer than before and even slightly toned. But his attention is soon taken away by yet more hot girls walking past him. 'Man this place is the best!' he thinks to himself.
He is almost surprised to see that Jamie is still waiting for him outside until Jamie reminds him about the newspaper article. But Tate dismisses his friend, explaining he's too tired to think about it right now. Jamie is both surprised in the change in Tate's attitude and hurt by the fact Tate feels like he can just ditch him like that. He tries hard to put it out of his mind though as the pair leave the magic gym.
