A Game of Change

A Different Type of Change

added by Dissonant 8 years ago O

"Cal, I think you're up," Melissa said, breaking his reverie.

Cal focused and looked over to Melissa, who gave him a reassuring smile. It was still odd seeing her with three eyes, but he decided it gave her a sexy, exotic look.

He leaned forward a bit to reach the dice, feeling Melissa's hand slide in against his abs and dancing inches away from his needy snatch. In response, he let out a quiet moan and rolled the dice. 1 and 3.

Cal moved his piece forward four spaces, but instead of a card being drawn, the narrator spoke.

Before the next card, another player you must choose

"Umm..." Cal trailed off. He was stumped. The game was constantly putting him in awkward situations, and he didn't want to give someone else a change when it wasn't even their turn. Besides, Kat and Scott have enough going on, and Melissa-

"Pick me, Cal," Melissa said, interrupting his train of thought.

Cal turned to look at her. "Melissa, are you sure?" he asked, still feeling guilty giving someone else a change.

Melissa nodded, still smiling. On the inside she was excited, eager for the opportunity to experience a new change. Maybe the game would stick her to Cal like it did to Scott, she mused. Her erection twitched at the thought.

"Alright, I, uh, choose Melissa," Cal declared, and a card drew itself in response.

Since the start of the game, you have grown close
But not in the same way as Kat and Scott
From this new change, thoughts and likes shall transpose
As a nerd, you could talk about a lot

The four of them were puzzled trying to understand the cryptic message. Kat furrowed her brow a bit. "Transpose... Is it going to transfer thoughts?"

Melissa clutched her head with her other head. "Ow, I just got this headache." Melissa looked puzzled for a second, before letting out a gasp.

"Holy shit, you know when you've been trying to think of something and you finally remember it? That just happened to me, like times fifty." Melissa rubbed at her forehead, trying to organize these new thoughts.

"Wait, so uh, what happened?" Cal said, looking a bit confused.

"Nothing much, except I know probably more than I need to about videogames and stuff like that. Also, I feel like I could probably whoop your ass in some Mercenary Guns." Melissa said with a cheeky grin. It was both interesting and a bit scary having access to all this new information, Melissa decided.

Cal looked surprised for a second, before he scoffed. "I've been playing it for years, I'd like to see that happen," he said with smug confidence. Inside, he was a bit excited that he finally found someone that seemed into him that was also into the same stuff he was. Both of his ex-girlfriends never were into anything like videogames or anything "nerdy". Deep down, he was a bit hopeful that Melissa's last change would stick.

"After we finish this, you're on," Melissa said, with a laugh. "Well, if this change lasts after the game is over, I guess. I dunno."

Melissa shrugged and scooped up the dice. Was the game trying to push her and Cal together? If it was, it was working, Melissa thought.
