The three kids ate their food. Heather sat right next to Justin, and Sean opposite them. The other boy kept grinning as he did, and Justin couldnt help but feel a little self conscious. Her sneaker occasionally bumped his as she scooted closer. Finally Sean finished his meal. "You know, I have something to do. I will see you two later ok."
"Uhm, Sean?" Justin stared at him.
Sean just grinned and winked. "Don't worry, you two loverbirds just enjoy the food."
Justin felt his cheeks burn and he looked over at Heather. She was blushing too, looking away.
"Heh, he's such a tease," Justin said.
"Yeah." There was a long pause. "Justin how long have we known one another?"
"I don't know, since we were little?"
"Feels like such a short time now," Heather admitted.
Justin said nothing at first, then he said. "yeah but, we're really close, and I really like you Heather."
"You do?" She was so close now, Justin gulped.
"Well yeah. I um...I..." Before he could say anything, Heather leaned in and gave him a quick little peck on the lips. To Justin it would feel like a wonderful eternity. After she did it, her face was really red.
"Well I like you a lot...too." She said.
