Kevin picked up his piece, counting the squares as he moved it until it came to a halt on a blue-coloured square.
"Blue means that I pick up from the deck of blue cards." He said, reaching out to take the top card off the pile of blue. "Red means pick up from the red pile, and green from the green pile, obviously."
Scanning over it quickly, he read it out loud for his friends.
"Players all be filled with cheer, for thou art blessed with looks most fair."
"What does that even mean?" Anthony asked, confused.
"I don't know." Kevin scratched his head. "Maybe it's meant to be a-"
"Whoa, hang on!" Jack exclaimed. "Guys, something's happening!"
Startled, Kevin looked around. For a moment he didn't notice anything, but suddenly he realised - all four of the boys had suddenly become ridiculously good looking. They seriously looked like models; their bodies were lean and muscled, with strong, attractive facial features.
"Guys." He spoke quietly. "I think the card did this. I mean, looks most fair? I'm pretty sure this game is magic or something."
A long silence ensued, as the four boys contemplated the gravity of the situation.
After awhile, Kevin broke the silence. "So, do we keep playing?"
"Well of course!" Danny replied. "I'm liking what's happening so far, plus it's my turn next."
