Beth remained in the pond for a while, occasionally hopping to another lily pad, taking a swim or catching flies with her now absurdly long tongue. And now and then, as she thought back to the princess she had been a few hours ago, small tears rolled from her round eyes and let out deep croaks. Suddenly, though, she heard croaking...but it wasn't her, so there had to be another frog here...and there was. Beth looked up and hopped towards the other frog across the lily pads, and when she came closer she saw that the frog has the same crown-shaped head as her. They looked at each other for a while, and the other said:"Did she get you too?" Beth couldn't believe her ears, or what was left of them. The croaking was that of an ordinary frog, but she could understand him perfectly. In the same croaking she replied that indeed she had been a princess but was turned into a frog, only to be released by the kiss of a prince. "Well, we're both out of luck then", replied the frog,"because I used to be a prince." Beth was astounded...her prince, her only chance of ever returning to normal, was a frog as well, and obviously enjoying it as he picked flies out of the air with his tongue. "Wanna go for a dive?", he asked.
