Beth and the Prince spent some time drifting around the pond, trying
to make the best of a frog's life. It was quite an amazing experience
being able to swim around a pond, the world massively enlarged to the
eyes of a small creature. But Beth was desperate to return to being a
girl, all the things she missed. Clothing, housing, human food, a
human body. She was a girl at heart, and not a frog.
"I know one thing we can do..." The Prince said, sidling up next to
her. He placed a webbed hand onto Beth's slim, toned leg.
She whipped the hand away quickly. "No, I'm not having sex with a
frog. No way."
"Suit yourself. It's good, though."
"You've done it before?" Beth was unimpressed. "That's disgusting.
Have you no restraint?"
"Hey, I've been like this a while. Give me a break. You never know
when something's going to come along and eat you."
And just as he said this, a dark shadow was cast across the pond.
Above Beth and the prince was a huge human frame, looking excitedly
down upon them.
"Ah, beautiful! Two fresh speciments for ze kitchen tonight!" He said,
scooping the two frogs up in a plastic tub.
