The case isn't that pressing. John isn't going anywhere. Besides. It's a pet shop. Sure the guy only has one name, but he seemed nice enough. You idly fish another dog treat out of the box and crunch into it, watching cops now. They are running down a criminal with a K-9 unit. As you watch, you realize you are really getting into the chase yourself, cheering loudly for the dog.
"GO BOY GET HIM!!!" You yell out, getting on your hands and knees and inches away from the screen. Your ears perk alertly, looking for a change in the sound. "THAT WAY!" You yell and point. The dog on the screen, as if hearing you, goes into a seemingly abandoned alley...and comes out in front of the criminal, catching him! "YEAH!!!!!" You jump around and cheer in your living room, excitedly.
The show ends, with a rather strange scene. The cop and his dog, sit there in there car, looking at you. "Don't worry chance, one day I'm sure we can get you a pretty girl."
You nod. "Who wouldn't want a handsome, fast, clever animal like you Chance?" You say breathlessly as the show stops. You plop down on the couch, thinking.
