Sometimes among werebeasts there are species that are even rarer. The weremers like Moon Lake's mayor and his family are one example, but they are far from the only ones.
Very rarely among Werehorses a special kind of were is born, commonly called a Wereunicorn because of their resemblance to the legendary creatures, they typically live in the forest to avoid contact with humans. It is more than likely that Wereunicorns where even the inspiration for the mythological creature. While a natural born Wereunicorn is rare, they can also turn others like any other species if they wish.
Angela Sinclair was a college student who was born and raised in Moon Lake. At first glance in human form she looked like your average female Werehorse,she was tall and athletic, although with pale skin and dark blonde hair with a streak of white. When she first transformed however everyone was surprised to find she was a Wereunicorn, but given the nature of Moon Lake she didn't have to move out in fear of humans.
Now she's a college freshman and is trying to live an ordinary life. But sometimes even rumors of Unicorns get out and attract people to where they live. And despite the secrets of Moon Lake, some rumors have persisted of a Unicorn living in the woods outside of it.

Angela had always preferred to spend her time shifted on her own. It was Friday night, and she had already taken care of her homework so she could spend as much time as she wanted to in her wereunicorn form tonight and over the weekend. She stood in the middle of a clearing in the forest and slipped off her shirt and pants, closing her eyes as the transformation began to overtake her.
It always started with her head, her face pushed out into that of a horse as her hair turned into her mane and fur began to grow all over her body. She wobbled a little as her feet changed into hooves, although her hands remained the same only furrier. Her ears became more triangular and migrated to the top of her head as a white spiral horn pushed out of her forehead. Finally a tail grew out of the back of her spine which she swished testingly.
She pawed at the ground with her hooves, she could've gone quadrapedal if she wanted to, but she didn't want to do that just yet, maybe later. She was about to move into the forest when suddenly she heard the snapping of a twig and turned to see what had made it.
