girl."
Your face immediately heats and flushes a deep scarlet when an amused grin appears on your sister Clair's face. This wasn't a common topic between brother and sister.
"Well as you can probably assume, never in my entire life have I wondered what its like to be female," Your sister states with a small giggle before continuing, "Though, I do occassionally wonder what being a guy must be like."
At this last statement you finally begin to feel your face cool down. Clair seems to lose herself in thought as her eyes unfocus and she stares into space.
After a moment your sister regains focus.
"You are one fortunate brother, Sam. I bought some stuff that was originally meant for John-"
"Your boyfriend?" You rudely interupt, not quite sure if the previous conversation has ended.
"Ex-boyfriend," Clair corrects you and further clarifies by adding "The one who introduced you to running."
It was true. Her (now ex?)boyfriend John had gotten you hooked pretty good on cross country. You loved running and every day you woke up early in the morning to run before it could become too hot outside.
"I caught him cheating on me last week. I was planning to prank him with the stuff until just now. It could take me a while to find all of it so I'll start looking once you go to bed." Clair informs while still managing to avoid exactly what shes reffering to. "If I can find them I'll make sure you have em for your early run."
"So what is this mysterious stuff you're planning on looking for for me?"
"Just some running stuff I found cheap at an interesting store."
"If this stuff was meant for John it seems like it might be a little large for me, and how exactly were you planning on pranking him with running clothes?"
"We'll see in the morning," Clair says mysteriously "Just promise to wear them on your run."
At this you hesitate to reply. This could be a huge mistake. "You're overthinking this," you say to yourself. "Your sister is just trying to help you out here Sam."
"Fine," you state with a friendly smile and an exaggerated sigh. "I promise that I'll wear ALL of this running stuff that you have for me-no matter what-for my morning run tomorrow. Now lets watch a movie or something, I'll let you pick."
You only barely stay awake for the movie Clair picks out to watch with you, the only reason you avoid passing out from the boredom being that the two of you order pizza halfway through the show. At around 11:00pm the aweful movie finally ends. Clair talks with you for a half hour before you decide to get ready to go to bed before it gets too late; you still have to wake up early to run.
After you finish brushing your teeth, using the bathroom, etc. you wish sis goodnight and head off to your room. You strip down until you are in the absence of clothes before you climb under the covers of your bed and lose yourself to sleep.
