"Why don't we just walk out? " asked Evelyn.
Mary Lou chuckled. "Even though its late I think people might notice two large lizards walking in their neighborhood."
"We can just wear disguises, " said Evelyn. She walked over to her clothes by the heat lamp, now dry from the heat. Evelyn picked up the now comically small shirt, and tore it in a sad attempt to wear it.
"I think you're a little too big for that now, sister, " said Mary Lou.
Evelyn threw it down with surprising strength. "Well, what's your plan, then?"
"I don't know, "said Mary Lou. "I've never really seen that much outside of my cage. I couldn't find my way around the zoo. That's why I need you."
"Well, how did you find me?" said Evelyn.
"I tracked you by your scent. I don't know if you realize it yet, sister, but you have a distinctive odor. And even in this form, I can still track pretty easily." said Mary Lou.
Evelyn hadn't really thought about it before, but now that she mentioned it, she could smell alot more things than before. She could smell the musk of Mary Lou, the strong antispetic smell of the holding area, the strangely appetizing aroma of the trash, and the repellant odor of the sewer waste. Evelyn smiled.
"Oh, sister, it looks like you have a good plan." said Mary Lou with excitement.
"Oh. yes. " said Evelyn. "Ever hear about the urban legend about alligators in the sewers? I think we might prove them right tonight."
