It was a struggle, but finally Jen decided that Sam had to be eliminated. She simply wouldn't be able to trust his behavior on the nights of the full moon. At least once he was gone, Gillian wouldn't be able to trigger her own change without seeing another werewolf. She could deal with Gillian later, perhaps in a more fitting way. Perhaps she could simply ditch her, and get a restraining order on her, she thought, though even then she knew it wouldn't be that easy.
"We have to tie him up," Jen said, "we've only got about a half an hour before moonrise."
"Why don't I just shoot him now?" Gillian asked. "He's already nearly killed you. His actions led to the death of my husband. The way I see it, shooting is too good for him."
"What you see right now is simply my brother. Until last night, he wouldn't have acted that way. I'm not sure what it is, but it seems like the moon triggers a more aggressive, bloodthirsty trait. I don't want to kill my brother. I want to kill the beast," Jen told her, feeling a bit of guilt at ordering her brother's death.
"So...what're you saying?" Gillian asked, looking rather puzzled.
"Do you have really thick rope, like what you'd tie a horse up with?" Jen asked.
Gillian nodded. "Out in our shed. We've got plenty of it."
"Go get it. We'll secure him to the bed, and give him one final moonrise. We stay in here, while it happens. You'll change when he does, and you can finish him off. It's not murder if he's the beast when you do it." Jen was amazed at how casually she was justifying the whole thing. But, she reasoned, she was alpha, and had to keep her place secure. And really, the more she thought about it, this was all his fault, as he was the one who'd inflicted lycanthropy upon her first. She was simply closing a circle.
"If..if I do this for you," Gillian asked, stepping close to Jen, tilting Jen's head back to force her to meet her eyes, "will you....BE...with me?" Gillian caressed Jen's face for a second, sending shivers down Jen's spine.
Knowing exactly what she was agreeing to, Jen nodded. "Yes. Maybe not forever, but for tonight, Gillian, I will be with you." Even as quickly as she agreed, Jen was already contemplating how to get out of it, but then found that perhaps she wasn't so eager to avoid the experience. Gillian was beautiful, undeniably so, and Jen would be the first one to admit it.
As Gillian walked out of the room to get the rope, Jen's eyes followed her form, focusing on the shape of her body. Jen couldn't deny the increase in her pulse, or the slight flutter in her stomach. Was she becoming lesbian, she wondered? No, probably not, she decided. But was she becoming receptive to an experience or two? Yes, she realized, tonight she was potentially going to have a new one.
Assuming everything went well.
