The girls reached the mirror at almost the same time, and began jockeying for position in front of the mirror. Eventually, they found an acceptable place, side by side, that they silently agreed they could share.
Evelyn could see that some changes had already taken place. Like Mary Lou, she no longer had the thick wide body of alligator, but rather the familiar hourglass figure of a human female. Her bloated belly had receded into a nice flat toned stomach. She thought she was smaller; she couldn't be sure because she was the same height as Mary Lou and the tape measure was attached to another wall. But as she looked in the mirror, she could see her image lowering, as her body continued to shrink.
Her scales were changing, too. They were still present, but they seemed thinner, and when she brushed her arm, it was more sensitive. It no longer felt like she was wearing a thick coat of armor. Her snout was different. It was much shorter, just sticking a few inches in front of her face, and was much smaller, more closely resembling a human mouth. She opened her mouth, and saw that her teeth were still menacing, but not as long and sharp. She found she could now purse her lips, and blew a kiss to herself in the mirror.
As she was examining her head, she noticed that her hair was slowly growing back. Slowly a few thin wisps of blond hair appeared. As they grew in length, stretching down her back, she saw the hair appeared to be getting thicker, and was quickly joined by several more growing strands. She saw with some amusement that Mary Lou did not like the thick dark black hair growing on her head. Mary Lou pulled on it experimentally, and winced when she realized that it could not be removed easily and without a painful price.
Suddenly, they both stumbled a bit, and held onto each other for support. Evelyn looked down at her feet, and saw that they had shortened, causing them to trip a little. Her toes were now long and thin like her fingers. Her feet almost looked human, except they were covered with scales and ended in long black thick toenails. She realized that she no longer had to walk in a digitigrade stance, and laid her feet flat on the ground.
Her tail felt different. She turned, and saw that although it was still there, her tail was now much smaller, lighter, and easier to manipulate. She lifted her tail, and saw that her ass was larger, but it was still feminine and firm, with a nice heart shape.
She thought the changes were over, when she suddenly felt a pressure on her chest. She looked down, and saw her chest inflate into two moderately sized breasts. She couldn't see any nipples, but the tissue felt soft, heavy, and sensitive, like her old breasts. She wondered if her nipples had actually returned, but were covered with scales. She was a little surprised - and a little jealous - when she saw that Mary Lou had developed breasts - if you could call them that - that were much larger than hers. Mary Lou was still playing with them, when Evelyn was confident the transformation was over, and said, "Not bad, not bad. We still don't look 100 percent human, but with the right clothes - maybe a little makeup - I think we could pass ourselves off as human. What do you think, Adam?"
Adam didn't respond. Simultaneously Mary Lou and Evelyn slowly turned to look at their forgotten companion, and were shocked by what they saw.
