Ty woke up the next morning in a bit of a haze, convinced that everything that had happened was just a dream, but as his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw that he was still in his new royal fey bedroom, and looking in the mirror, he saw he was still a fairy.
He smiled at his reflection, wiggled his long pointed ears a bit, and practiced moving his antenne around. He also looked at his big fairy eyes - they were just like his mom's with no white showing.
"This will take some getting used to,
but I think I'll be fine - I really do." he laughed a bit at his own little poem, because he wasn't even trying that time.
"Whenever you're done amusing yourself your majesty, we need to get going."
Ty turned around to see a small robin.
"My name is Puff, and your mom asked me to escort you to your training with Mistress Daisy Petal. And before you say another verse, yes - I know 'Puff' is an odd name for a bird. Blame my mom."
With that, Ty chuckled a bit to himself, and followed Puff outside.
As they flew through the fairy city, Ty herd various fey greet him, and even a few fey kids who acted like Ty was some kind of super hero.
"No distractions!" Puff called back "I know you're a big-shot celebrity, but you can bask in your own glory later!"
Ty could tell that Puff didn't mean to be rude, and that he was only trying to do his job.
After a few more minutes, they reached a clearing in the forest where a fairy woman who looked the same age as his royal mom was waiting for him.
She was in a dress of daisy petals, and had light yellow skin with purple eyes.
"I'm Daisy Petal, welcome Prince Ty.
I do hope it wasn't to far to fly.
The space is needed for what I'll teach you,
so that your full potential may show through."
"Ok." Puff said "He's all yours, now to go before your stanzas make me a coo-cu bird!"
And with that, he flew off.
"You'll have to excuse Puff.
He can be a bit rough,
but he means well,
so ready for your first spell?"
Ty was over-joyed.
