Marie Parker was a woman who just wanted to get a new start in the world. She's a smallish girl with short red hair and freckles.
Her parents had always been conservative, but they said they would love her no matter what... which turned out to be a lie. When she was in college she met her first girlfriend and fell in love, while the relationship had fallen apart, she came to realize she was a lesbian. When she came out of the closet to her parents, they rejected her and left her out in the cold.
Thankfully a friend of her's from high school heard about what happened and told her that she could live with her in some small town called Moon Lake up in Washington. She got off the bus at the terminal in Moon Lake and looked around.
"Marie, its me!" a female voice called out. Marie looked to see a woman her age with short blonde hair, wearing a black jacket over a white tank top and skirt, Marie smiled and waved to her and hugged her friend.
"Hey there Jane, its so good to see you again," Marie says.
"Is everything okay? I heard your parents kicked you out," Jane asked
"Yeah... they did when they found out I was a lesbian..." Marie said sadly.
"Parents can be so unfair," Jane said with a reassuring smile. "But don't worry, I've got a job lined up for you here in town, and you can live in my spare room."
"Thank you Jane," Marie said and hugged Jane. "This means a lot."
"I'm just glad to help a friend in need," Jane said with a smile. "Don't worry about your parents either."
"Thanks..." Marie said as they headed to the car.
"We can drive around town a little bit if you want," Jane said as they get in. "The Town Chancellor also may wants to meet you, she just lives across the street."
