After Tad left, his mom, Jennifer, called her old college friend, Samantha Twist. She dialed her number in and held the phone to her ear. The phone started to ring for at least a second or two before someone answered.
Hello?," the voice on the other end said. "Hey Samantha!," Jennifer said. "Jenny!," she said, "It's been so long since we last talked! Where have you been?" "Busy with work," Jennifer said, "But I have good news: Tad and I are in Moon Lake now! We've bought an empty house, and now I'm back in the town I grew up in!" "That's amazing!," Samantha said, "Does Tad have your DNA? Is he a werewolf like you, or a werefox like his father was?"
"He's got my DNA. He's a werewolf."
"That's great! We aught to bring the kids together so they can finally meet!"
"Good idea! Tad just went out for a walk to see if he can find any were creatures his age."
"And how old is he?"
"18"
"18! Dear lord! Last I saw him he was only a baby! Oh, how time flies!"
Jennifer sighed. "The move's been hard on him though," she said, "He was in danger at our old home, but he never saw it. I had been waiting and watching the houses here for 18 years, hoping one would become vacant so we could move back here, so he'd be safe."
"Don't worry!," Samantha said, "He'll love it here! Almost every kid is his age or a year or two older!"
"Good. I can't wait for him to meet the boys here."
