The medallion was cold, and they did not feel a shock like before. They waited a few minutes, but nothing seemed to be happening.
"I don't think it is going to work, " said Gina.
"Maybe we have to want it to work, " said Jake. "Isn't that the way it worked in Freaky Friday?"
"Or maybe we need to wish on it? Maybe it requires the blood of a virgin. Hell, maybe it only works once, " said Gina.
Jake paled, and Gina realized that she had scared him.
"Look, my point is that we need to learn more about that thing before we do anything rash. There is no reason to give up yet. Why don't we each do a little research and compare notes after school? " said Gina.
"After school? I can't go through the whole day like this! " said Jake.
"You'll have to. What other choice do we have? Don't worry. I will tell you the basics about me, like my class schedule. But I wouldn't worry too much about trying to fool people. Physically, you look exactly like me. I doubt anyone will question a few different personality quirks. There is no way anyone would ever be able to figure out that you are not really me. I mean, who would believe in a magic body-swapping necklace? " said Gina.
Jake was about to protest more, when they heard the other students begin walking towards the locker room.
"Gym class must be over. Here take my clothes, " said Gina, as she stripped off her basketball uniform. "You need to get dressed quickly and get to the girls locker room before anyone sees you."
