You decide to take a look at the butterflies fluttering about, when you catch sight of a rather large one hanging out near a group of flowers. You slowly approach, so as not to scare it off. You see that it has an unusual wing pattern; like a Monarch Butterfly's, but sky blue and pastel pink rather than black and orange, respectively. The closer you get, the more it appears to not be a butterfly at all, but something else entirely. Your suspicions were confirmed when it turned around, revealing itself not to be a butterfly, but a small, young woman with butterfly wings!
Her eyes were solid blue, as if they were sapphires set inside a flawless face; flanked by two large, pointed ears and topped with a pair of large, curly antennae growing out of her forehead. Her body, roughly 6 inches head to toe, with her wings adding at least three extra inches of height, was like a tiny goddess'; flawless, subtly sparkling, alabaster skin with only a few flower petals covering her breasts and waist, connected by a few vines. There was no doubt, you just met a fairy!
"What are you doing here?" she asks you, more surprised than angry.
"Oh, I guess I came in through the wrong door." You answer. "If you want me to leave, I'll..."
"No, stay!" The fairy said adamantly. "I'd kinda like the company."
"Oh, okay; I've kind of always wanted to meet a fairy. Do you work here."
"Yes... I do." There was a tinge of sadness in her voice; but, still being in awe of the situation, you fail to notice. "I'm the garden's caretaker. As a fairy, I have a natural talent for gardening. It's how I got this job."
"I can see that; such lovely work you do. It must be nice working with such strange and lovely flowers."
"You'd think so, but..." The fairy lowered her head.
"Is something wrong?"
The fairy sighed. "You see..."
