"...It gets quite lonely spending all my time here." The fairy said.
"You live here, too?" You ask.
"Yes. My home is deep inside that tree." The fairy points to a large tree at the center of the garden. "In exchange for my services here, I am allowed to eat any fruit or bugs and drink any nectar produced by the plants here."
"You eat bugs?"
"Fairies need protein, too."
"Makes sense; but what of any others of your kind?"
"They don't know about me. I'm an orphan, and when they were alive; my parents didn't live near the settlements. I was what you would compare to a ten-year old when someone from the zoo found me; half-dead... and alone."
"How sad."
"They nursed me back to health, asked me to tend to their garden in exchange for a place to live. I guess it's our natural affinity for tending plants that drew them to me."
"How nice of them."
"Yeah, but none of them come around much; and when they do, it's strictly business."
"You're right, it is lonely..." You thought for a minute and had an idea. "I know, I'll keep you company!"
"I don't know if the zoo will allow it."
"Maybe you could use your magic to hide me. Uh, you DO have that, right?"
"Yeah, I can use magic."
"So, maybe you can use a spell that can keep me hidden?"
"The fairy thinks for a moment. I think I have an idea..."
