A fair deal?

added by JosieHadley 7 years ago BM S TG

"Wait! Stop! If you let me live, I can get you some fertilizer. More fertilizer than you will ever need, " you plead.

The fairy stops her advance, and hovers in front of your face. She no longer looks evil, just like a cute pixie. She looks at you quizzically. "Really? Do you promise?" asks the fairy.

"Yes, yes, I promise, " you lie.

The fairy looks at you skeptically. "I don't know. Humans are not known for their honesty. And they can be pretty tricky. I have an idea, " says the fairy, as her eyes light up with excitement. She begins to run her hands down her body, rubbing her hands stiffly against her skin. Suddenly, she lifts her hands up to her mouth and blows, sending a small cloud of dust flying into your face. Your vision gets blurry, and you have a rough coughing fit.

"Okay. You've got a deal. But you better hur^ry, " says the fairy, in a sing song voice. "And you better be telling the truth. Or you'll be sor^ry."

You turn back to the exit door, and see that the cloud of fairies has parted. You run for the door, but find it locked. Suddenly, the door opens, and the man in a protective suit steps through, dragging a large bag of fertilizer.

"Here you go, kid. That was a good idea. Good luck, " says the man, as he turns and begins to walk back through the door.

"Fuck the fertilizer, " you say. "Just let me get out of here."

The man sighs. "Sorry, kid, but it's too late. You've already been contaminated. Like I said, good luck, " says the man in the protective suit, as the door shuts in front of you.

You turn and see the fairy looking at you. She motions for you to follow, and flies over the soil of the garden. The swarm of fairies surround you, leaving no option except to follow her. You drag the bag of fertilizer along behind you. As you pull it, it seems to get heavier and larger with each drag. By the time you reach the fairy in the center of a circle in the soil, you are arms are very sore. But, strangely, you feel full of energy. The last time you felt this full of pep was when you were a small child. It is almost like a sugar rush. Now that you have stopped moving, you notice a strange almost inaudible hum.

"Okay. You kept your part of the deal, " says the fairy, as she inspects the bag happily. "Now here is your reward!"

She looks up, and you follow her gaze to the sky above you. You see a large swarm of fairies hovering just above your head. Suddenly, they begin to shake and gyrate, sending a large cloud of dust down on top of you. You are blinded by the dust, and begin to cough and hack. Your body feels strange, and your clothes feel loose. You back away from the cloud of dust, tripping out of your pants, shoes, and socks as you move in a blind daze.

Your whole body tingles. Your ears tickle a little bit. You touch them and the tip of your ear feels pointed. Your ears feel like they are growing longer beneath your hands. Your waist tickles, and you look down to see it become thin and narrow, as your hips become wider. Your chest itches, and you remove your baggy shirt to get a better look. You see two small buds slowly pushing out beneath your nipples. Your stomach is flat, and as you touch it you notice how soft and delicate your skin feels. You look at your hands, and notice that they are also small and dainty, ending in thin, slender fingers. The hum is louder now, an annoying cacophony of low moans. You want to cover your ears to block out the sound.

You feel the fairy pulling on your arm, and you look down to see her tugging on your wrist. She looks much bigger now, the size of a small child.

"Don't stop now, girls! He's almost done, " says the fairy.

You struggle to pull out of her grip, but with each tug it looks like she is getting bigger, and her grip is tighter. You look around the garden for help, and see that everything is getting bigger. You realize that it is not the fairy that is growing, but you that is shrinking. You feel more dust dropping on you from above.

The tingle in your back intensifies, and you feel a slight pressure in your back. Suddenly, you feel something push through. As it brushes against your back, you notice how soft and fragile it feels.

"Ooooooo, " say the fairies in awe, as they stare at your back. You turn to see a pair of large blue butterfly wings attached to your back. They are the most beautiful wings you have ever seen.

You turn to face the fairy, and are surprised to find yourself looking up at her. You are now shorter than she is.

"Ooops. Guess we may have got a little carried away, " says the fairy. "But it all worked out. I must say that you came out very nicely. Some of the other girls will be jealous."

"What did you do to me?" you say, in a high feminine voice you do not recognize. You look down at your groin, and confirm your fear. "I'm a girl!"

"Of course, silly, " says the fairy. "All fairies are girls. Don't you know anything?"

You are about to rebuke her when the loud moaning begins pounding into your head. The words are barely audible, but the noise is almost deafening. It keeps seeping into your head, blocking out all other thoughts.

"What is that awful noise?" you squeak in your tiny voice.

"Oh, so you can hear it now? That's the trees and other plants. And if you want them to shut up, we better get to work. C'mon, " says the fairy, as she flies up to the bag and scoops out some of the fertilizer.

The noise seems louder, more desperate. Although you can't exactly understand the words, their meaning is clear - it is a need for food. You see the fairy holding her load hovering above you, waiting for you to follow. You flap your wings experimentally, quickly learning how to hover and fly. You decide to help her, if for no other reason than to cease that terrible noise. Maybe you can find some way out of this mess when it is quiet again, and you have some time to think.
