The existence of your soul being revealed had changed a lot of things at home.
Emily's family, who had bought you as a pet, was now legally required to take care of you as parents. Emily was overjoyed by the prospect, chanting she had gained the coolest sister in the world during all the way home. Ms. McAdam, Emily's mother, was ashamed she never even thought of taking you to be soul-tested. And Mr. McAdam? Saying he was displeased by the turn of events was the understatement of the millennium!
One of the consequence concerned the bedroom you shared with Emily. Her bed had disappeared, as did your little house. Instead, you now shared a bunk bed. (You still don't know where they could find one with a double bed as its lower bunk.) You were glad your friend-turned-sister was scared of sleeping on the top bunk, since it mean it was all yours and you loved sleeping perched high.
Another change was that you where now authorized, and even expected, to sit and eat with everyone during meals. Of course, Ms. McAdam still adapted your food to your feline nature, but it was far better than the caned cat-food you had until then.
There was one thing you dreaded, and it was to go back to school. Because now that your soul was acknowledged, you were expected to be schooled, which mean facing Stan anew.
