Short chapter coming at you - bj88
While Kenya and Jack Ashford were busy exploring each other’s mouths, Nate was home wondering why his girlfriend/fiancee had all but kicked him out so abruptly. His parents were upstairs in their bedroom, the Lawsons having gone home for some private time of their own.
“Did I say something? Or was it that text? What could it have said? Something bad? Or something… good?” Nate wondered aloud.
“What’s good?” Eric and Spencer entered the living room, having just come in from the backyard. There was dew stuck to Spencer’s fur, among other things, and Eric’s hair was damp. It didn’t take a genius to figure out the two had been cuddling in the rain (which had broken out a only fifteen minutes ago.
“Nothing. Or maybe something.” Nate shrugged.
“What’s wrong with you?” Eric asked, sitting on the back of the couch.
“I can honestly say I haven’t a clue.” Nate sighed and threw himself back against the length of the couch. Eric and Spencer both leaned over him and watched Nate’s expression change from worried to extremely freaked out.
“Did you and Kenya get into some kind of fight?” Eric finally asks.
“No.”
“Did you shout someone else’s name while you two were doing it?” spencer asked. That drew stares from both Anderson brothers. Spencer merely told them to just wait until it happened to them. Then they wouldn’t be so judgmental.
“So what?” Eric pressed.
“I don’t know.” Nate said again.
“Things went well with your folks and Kenya right? Seemed like everyone was getting along fine when we got her.” Spencer actually can’t say for certain how the rest of the party was. She’d been so absorbed in Eric, literally.
“Ya, better than I’d thought. But… well Kenya and I only agreed to date if she gave something up, and I think she’s started doing it again.”
“What, drugs?”
“No you dumbass. Do you honestly think Kenya is the kind of person who goes to work at a band and then lights up in her van?” Nate snapped.
“Geez, bite my head off why don’t ya. Just trying to clarify.” Eric held his hands in surrender. Nate muttered and apology that only Spencer would hear.
“it’ll be hard, no matter what it is Kenya’s trying to quit.” Spencer had a feeling she knew what it was Kenya had to give up. The general feeling she got from the werepanthress wasn’t unlike the one she sometimes felt when she was around her mother when she’d go into heat. Only Kenya’s was much stronger.
“Probably sleeps with other guys. Maybe girls. I did warn Nate that if he didn’t bond with her in more than just a sexual way she’d get bored. They’re both clearly attracted to each other. But how deep does it go? Not deep enough if Kenya’s off mounting some other guy tonight.” Spencer thought.
