"Did you ever ask the First Fur about the truth?" Sammy The Fox asked.
"Truth of what?" Trevor asked innocently.
"Oh nothing." Sammy replied, knowing that no, Trevor hadn't asked. It seemed that not everyone who had met the first fur went to see her for the reason Sammy and Amy had. And not all of them to be 'changed more' as Jessy wondered if the first fur could do.
"So what is she like? The First Fur?" Sammy asked.
"Oh she LOVES to play games, she loves making friends, she's really nice and sweet, she says she's happy knowing that we're all making more friends every day!"
Sammy dimly realized that he had lost track of how many days it had been since he left Frankie Town with jessy, but... that didn't really seem to matter. While he felt a great sense of urgency in wanting to find a way so Baby Furs could be friends with not-friends without becoming friends, had been super important, and was what Sammy wanted to ask the first fur about... the urgency had slowly become less intense as Sammy had gone on, he hadn't even noticed it, and didn't even notice it now. A part of him now unconsciously like the mission was just an excuse to travel and see the First Fur and he had to remember thank her for bringing this gift to the world.
Finally the boss arrived in My-Yam-Me. Sammy The Fox loved the view. Half the city was made up cute little islands, and the bay was filled with large toy boats piloted by baby furs of all sorts!
When they got off the bus and bid their friends farewell, Jessy tapped him on the shoulder, and pointed to a large public TV set (made out of white plastic white little blue plastic knobs with cutie little pictures instead of numbers).
It was a broadcast of Joey The Bison, Rita the Bullfrog and Timmy The Wolf, and their fisherprice style spaceship connecting with the International Friendship Station. Sammy The Would would have wondered how they were getting the shots. Sammy The Fox didn't even think about it. As the spaceship connected with the space station, the space station itself began to change, looking less like something made by NASA, and more like something some kids in their backyard with some scotchtape, some Mr. Sketch markers, stickers, and cardboard would make. All the same, it all worked perfectly.
Then the view changed to inside the spaceship itself as Joey, Rita and Timmy came on board.
Instead of looking in shock, trying to escape in space suits out another air lock, or being armed or something, the not-friend astronauts approached the new furry astronauts with a dazzled look in their eyes.
"Hi!" Waved one of the spacemen at Joey. "Welcome to the international friendship station!" He grown man said in a high pitched voice.
"Thanks! It's wonderful be here!" Said Joey. He saluted, and as did Rita and Timmy. The space men saluted back.
Joe introduced his friends to the other spacemen.
The spacemen meanwhile, had already started to get smaller, as their space suits turned into baby blankets, splitting open to reveal some bright silver reflective diapers. At the same time, fishbowl helmets like Joey and his friends wore appeared on their heads.
"Nice to meet you Joey The Bison!" Said the space man, now space fur, who had spoken first. "I'm Ivan The Gnu!"
Ivan turned towards the screen and waved. "And I hope all of you are happy to see the first baby furs docking at the international friendship station!"
Sammy stared in shock at the screen. "That was... that was... that was.... SO COOL!" Sammy broke into carefree giggles. Maybe Amy was right, and the more baby furs there were, the easier it was for Not-Friends to accept becoming friends!
"Hey Sammy! Wanna go swimming?" Jessy asked.
"SURE!" They were in the town with the First Baby Fur at last... but that wasn't a reason not to go for a fun swim first!
