What happened next is mostly what Julie said happened since, while I could hear the two girls from my side of the door, I couldn't see anything.
Anyway, when the light dissipated my sister had regained her canine head, but Ameline hadn't changed a bit. The same couldn't be said of the different photos around the places. All photos with Julie in it modified themselves so she wasn't in them anymore, changing Ameline's pose if needed.
When Ameline woke-up, the first thing she saw was Anubis looking at her. Not noticing how sad was the goddess, she bowed to her as fast as she could. “LADY ANUBIS!!!”
My sister shook her head. “Don't worry, I'm not her to take your life. In fact I can't decide when nor when your life end, my job only starting once you life end… But I'm not here for work.”
“You… You're not?!?” Wondered the surprised, and still scared, Ameline, “Then why are you here?!?”
“I… I needed to speak to someone, and you seemed the more willing to listen.” Lied Anubis. “You see, before my recent… my change, I dated this girl I loved, and it was quite serious between us. But since I became the new Anubis, between my new responsibility and the fact I'm still learning them and and how to use the powers that goes with it, I wasn't able to speak with her until recently.”
“I take it things didn't go well?” Asked Ameline, not realizing they where speaking of their past relationship, one that was erased from her memory.
“At first thing did go well, and I… I thought she would make a good Bastet, so I asked her if she was willing to take on that mantle and all the responsibility that go with it. She accepted, but for all the wrong reason. But that's not what hurt me the worst.” Admitted my now crying sister.
“And, if I can ask, what did?” Inquired Ameline.
“She though… She though that I would let our relationship end like any human-god love story from the Greek mythology, like becoming the new Anubis hadn't only changed what I am but also who I am!”
“Outsh! That's harsh!” Commented Ameline, not knowing she was the one who acted that way. “And how did you punish her?”
“Punish?” That question greatly surprised Julie. “Why would I punish her? Sure she hurt me, but it wasn't her fault, one can't control his feelings, only try his best to not let them make a fool of himself.”
“So you didn't do anything?!?” wondered Ameline.
“I didn't want her to live in the fear of how and when I would punish her if she ever dated someone else, so I erased all memory of our relationship from her memory, hoping it will help her be happy.”
After this, sis used her powers to teleport herself, Molly & I to mom's, where she locked herself for month, crying a Styx over her broken heart.
What my sister never accounted for, was for was a group of their friends to accidentally make Ameline realize she was the one who broke her heart, (thanks to a photo in which they all were) even if the ex-girlfriend never regained the memory to back it up.
