"This can't really be happening." Kyle shook his head. The proof was plainly there for both of you to see. Somehow, for what ever reason, you and Kyle had been fused into a two-headed man. You were slowly moving your hand across your stomach, when Kyle suddenly looked down at your body and pushed it away. "Hey!"
You tried not to look too annoyed, "I'm just trying to find out where we..." you waved your hand in-front of your chest," Divide." You felt ourselves take a deep breath before Kyle sighed it out. "Just how fused are we?"
"Fused enough!" Kyle grumbled. You couldn't tell if you or Kyle were the one who was really angry, then realized it didn't matter. Kyle grunted as he gave your body a little pull. "Besides, what does it matter? We're not staying like this."
"Oh, you have a way apart?"
"Well no." Kyle tried not to sound defeated, "But we should figure out what happened first."
The two of you spent some time wobbling around the room, trying to piece together what exactly happened the night before. Nothing was out of the ordinary or astray. You both agreed to sit down and take a break from your balancing act. Kyle rolled his eyes as you stretched back in the chair. Ignoring Kyle, you turned your head away towards the computer. Down in the corner of the screen was an email notification. You opened it and read, 'Classes Cancelled.' "Wait a minute, what's this?" You swiveled the chair around and started to read.
An alert had been posted in the media last night, about the meteor, the changes, everything. Your side went limp after you finished reading, but Kyle's side was still tense. A moment later Kyle went limp and pulled you back into the chair. "So. Is everyone... stuck to someone else?"
"I-I don't know." Your mouth was ajar. Everyone had been changed? What did that mean? How were they going to fix things? A voice in the hall startled you; turning to look you smacked your face into Kyle's. Kyle glared and gave you a shove. You shoved back and the two of you nearly fell out of the chair from all shoving.
"Enough! Let's go see who it is." Kyle was right, you had to figure out what was going on. Hoisting yourselves from the chair, you manage to walk, not wobble, over to the door. You can't quite hear clearly enough, but something was mentioned about arms and legs. You were about to open the door and poke your head through, but Kyle pulled you back. "Mason! Fuck dude. We can't go out there, we're still naked."
Your body strained as you tried walking to two separate dressers. After exchanging annoyed glances, you gave in, not wanting to tussle again so soon. You put on some boxers and slipped into a pair of Kyle's jeans. After debating how tight a regular shirt would fit, Kyle suggests one of your sleeveless ones. Fully dressed, you stand by the door and take a deep breath. You look at Kyle as your heart races, "Nervous?"
You feel Kyle breathe out slowly, "I don't know. I can't tell if it's you, or me, or if it's both of us."
You smirk a little. It was comforting to know Kyle was going through the same thing as you. You then realized, it would be that way for awhile, and it made you grin. "Don't worry Kyle. No matter what happens," You held his shoulder and he looked at you, "I'll be right beside you the whole time." It was enough to make him smirk and you felt your nervousness go down. Kyle opened the door and the two of you stepped forward.
