When Jenny finally dared to open her eyes again, she was met with a sight that made her moan and sob in despair.
The most obvious and immediate change that greeted her was a change in location. Gone was her nice bedroom in her fancy house. Instead, she was standing in a filthy and stinking alleyway between two rundown buildings, next to a makeshift tent made of filthy sheets containing several garbage bags of unknown contents; Jenny had the hollow feeling that this was her home, and everything she owned.
But worse was the reflection facing her from the dirty and cracked window across the alleyway. Just as Kyle had described, Jenny was looking at an upright, humanoid lizard, with greenish-gray scales and clawed hands, wearing only a ragged skirt and equally frayed shirt that was straining against a pair of massive breasts. But the absolute worst detail was the fact that the face - despite the scales, lack of a visible nose, and oddly shaped eyes - was still recognizable as what she always saw in the mirror.
"No, God please," Jenny moaned, only absently noting the rasping hiss in her voice as she spoke. Instead, she looked down at herself, greeted by the same sight of her scaled and massively endowed chest, and clawed hands, and beneath them equally clawed feet.
It was then that Jenny's stomach rumbled, and she realized just how desperately hungry she was. Snapping out of her shock and trying to focus on something else, she started going through the garbage bags in search of food. Unfortunately, all she found was more ragged clothing, stacks of paper and matches she assumed were for making fires for heat, and a depressingly small amount of money. Taking that, Jenny took a deep breath and slowly walked out of the alleyway to look around at the new world.
All the buildings were, as Kyle had said, of a design similar to the 1950s. But what really drew her attention were the signs several buildings sported - such as a deli that stated "NO LIZARDS ALLOWED", or what appeared to be a public restroom sporting a sign that read "HUMANS ONLY BATHROOM".
Staring at all of this, stomach still rumbling, Jenny could only despair at what she was now facing.
