Tad also typed in a few extra lines that explained how the supposed ambassador would handle things, such as press releases and demonstrations and opening up things for Were/Normal dialogue between the communities and so on, with the rationalization that these acts would get the message out to the world that weres weren't what many people might think them to be. After a moment, he hit the print button and his computer sent a signal printer his computer was connected to.
The homework was extra credit, as their present units they were dealing with in class was with the Legislative branch and its make up, powers, qualifications, and related matters. However, so much of the present issues that related to what had happened with Ulysses' capture and then his death had Moon Lake sufficiently on edge. As such, the extra credit assignment, and despite having their government classes at different times of the day, Tad and Amy did work on it together, in a sense. Amy wrote her paper out by hand and she went more into how the ambassador would be chosen as a sign trust and friendship. Amy's reasoning was that a were that didn't look threatening in their were form, like a werecat, a weredog, or a weremer would be more easily trusted and/or believed.
"I think everything makes sense," Tad commented, "if we could write more... I think I might even add in what you put in."
Amy nodded, "I'd probably do the same... but then... we can't both turn in the same paper. It may be extra credit, but that doesn't mean plagiarism will be tolerated."
Tad slowly nodded, "Makes sense."
The two of them were silent for a moment, but Tad didn't hear any sound coming from his printer. As he realized that nothing was happening, Tad turned back to the screen and was soon looking around to see what had happened. He quickly found that the document did print, but his settings were such that he sent it to printer in a sort of den/home office area that had been his fathers, but his mother had gotten it and had been busy in there when Tad and Amy got home. Tad gave a heavy sigh as he saw his mistake.
"I sent it to the wrong printer," Tad gave a groan.
"We can go get it, it's no problem," Amy assured him and hopped up.
Tad nodded and stood up. They then went back downstairs and made their way to the home office where hey found Jen looking down at the paper Tad had printed off.
"I didn't print this," Jen said slowly.
"Sorry, mom, that was me," Tad explained as his ears picked up what his mother had said, even while in his human form.
"Sorry, mom," Tad spoke up as he and Amy approached, "it's just some extra credit for my government class. I didn't even know that I had the commands specified to your printer."
"So long as it's homework, I don't mind," Jen answered, "it just caught me by surprise, that's all."
"Whatcha been working on, mom?" Tad wondered.
The two teens watched as Jen gave a warm smile. She gave him a pat on the shoulder and handed the paper back to Tad.
"Mostly just some "homework" of my own," Jen commented, "getting things in order and getting back into the work force... to go to my job, as you put it."
"I thought it'd be something to say and show if things do... go bad," Tad answered.
"And it's not a bad answer," Jen assured him.
