After Amy had left, Tad and Jen sat down for dinner.
Jen brought her plate and Tad's plate to the dinner table.
"I know how much you love steak," Jen said, "So while you were at school, I went out and bought two steaks for us to have tonight!"
Tad took his knife off the table and cut into his steak. "Thanks mom," he said, smiling.
Jen did the same to her steak as soon as she sat down. "So," she said, "How was your day today?"
"It was okay," Tad said, taking a bite of his steak and swallowing it before continuing, "Nothing much really happened today. There was a lot of talk about what happened in Seattle over the weekend. A lot of people are concerned about it. To be honest, I'm kind of scared too. You're the only person I haven't seen worried about all this."
"Well, I don't need to worry about that now," Jen explained, "While it does concern me, it's not the first thing on my mind."
"So, what did you do today?," Tad asked.
"Oh, I just continued my search for a job," Jen said, "Because that's the first thing on my mind right now."
