The caretaker looks down at your shaggy self, shakes his head and then smiles at you knowingly.
"Well, my shaggy friend, you’re the third person that I have found who has gone literally to the dogs." He tells you as crouches down before you to offer you his hand for a sniff. "But I must say that I really like what you have become. The Old English Sheepdog happens to be my number one favorite."
Upon hearing your new friend praise you, you stand up a little taller on your four legs, happily wag your docked tail and smile a toothy smile at him. You then close the distance between you and him, and take a couple of good sniffs of his hand. He smells really friendly and honest. He really does like you. So to tell him how much you like him, you give his hand a very through tongue bath. You lick each and every finger on his hand. And while you are doing that, he is giving you a rather fond rub behind one of your ears. Your friend then chooses this precious moment to speak up to you again.
"Oh yes, you really are becoming a very friendly sheepdog for me. I’ll bet that there is barely a human thought in that shaggy head of yours. Just happy canine instincts telling you that I would make a great friend and master for you. And you know what, my shaggy friend?" He asks you with another of his smiles.
You cocked your head to the side bemusedly and then go back to panting contentedly.
"I think you’re right!" He crows.
You bark happily at the sound of him sounding so pleased with himself. And then you reach your shaggy head up to his and give your new master’s face another of your through tongue baths. Your master laughs and reaches over to playfully squeeze the sides of your shaggy head. You smile back at him.
Your master then lets go of your shaggy head and stands up.
"Come on, Champ, let’s go back to my place and get better acquainted"
You woof in agreement to his desire to show off what will be your new home. Then as one, you and your master walk away from the Funhouse and make quite a sight for the few tourists who still happen to be about. An old man in slightly worn out work clothes walking besides a very huge bear of a sheepdog. What a pleasant sight indeed!
