Harry knew it couldn't be true so he simply went back to the lab and turned off the machine. He waited a second and patted his body and still felt that he was there. Walking upstairs to the kitchen and saw his mother peeling a red apple with his 9 year old sister sitting nearby doing some of her homework. Harry chuckled to himself, of course the machine couldn't change reality.
His mother asked "Something funny Harry?"
Harry said "Oh was just kinda looking at the lab and found one of dad's journals. It was saying that he made a machine to make apples red and to actually make you. Turned it off and well we're all still here and apples are still red."
His mother's expression was a little more grim and Erin noticed and asked "That can't be true right?"
Harry explained "If it were true then how would we still exist?"
His mother said "It can't be turned off and everything will still remain as it was. Would you think of how much power it would take to keep something like that running 24/7 for years? The real question is what was your father doing with it on."
Harry curious asked "So you know that you were made? Like just to be dad's perfect wife?"
His mother said "Oh don't think I didn't go through some existential crisis when your father first told me about it and let me use the machine myself."
Erin asked "So what did you use the machine for?"
their mother went to Erin and gave her a hug and said "Made myself the little girl of my dreams!"
Erin's face went red with embarrassment and then said "Wow thanks I... um... huh?!?"
Mom had a grin on her face as she said "Yep, perfect little girl. Smart, talented, oh and you can't wait till see how you'll look during and after puberty."
Harry asked "So what does that make me?"
Mom said "Naturally born from your father and my genes. Like most kids are, figures that all the men in the family weren't synthesized from a machine but at least that means us ladies are basically perfect in our ways. Still wonder why the machine was now on, what could your father have changed?"
Harry said "Well I doubt that it's anything anyone but he knows considering how this is what reality is like for us. Heck he probably could've just created me last night and to us I've been here for sixteen years. Don't think it matters at this point since if he tells us he's changed nothing we couldn't even guess what he changed."
Erin escaping her mothers clutches said "Yeah, I mean life currently isn't that bad so I suppose we could probably leave things as is right now." Erin glanced at her body a little bit and said "Although now it feels a little weird thinking that you were manufactured, makes me feel like I could turn into a cat, become male, or have some sort of rocket hand."
Harry laughed and said "I doubt something like that's possible."
their mother said "Oh Lenard made the best cat though."
Erin asked "Whose Lenard?"
their mother just smiled and said "Oh don't worry about Lenard dear, no one you need to worry about."
Harry a bit confused said "Well then I suppose i'll just try to go on as normal... I guess? Just going to try to push the thought of everything I know being manufactured by my father and mother into the back of my mind." Harry went back to his room where...
