Jeff suddenly stopped moving, his hands hovering over the keyboard.
He pushed his chair away from the desk, the gravity of his potential actions hitting him.
I love my mother, he thought. I would never do anything to hurt her...
He pushed the thought from his head. It's harmless, he assured himself, just a little change.
Jeff took a glance at his calendar. Besides, Halloween is tomorrow, I should help her with her 'costume'.
But what kind of 'costume', he pondered.
He paused briefly, before turning around in his chair.
He stared up at the clear night sky, the twinkling stars, the moon...
Jeff's eye's widened. The full moon.
"Of course!" he exclaimed softly.
Perfect for Halloween, and not a drastic change either.
Jeff brought his hands to the Chronivac once more, typing away with a renewed purpose:
Target's Name: <Lauren>
External DNA: <Gray Wolf>
DNA Ratio:<>
He thought about this for a second. I want it to be obvious as a costume, but still with bipedal legs and appendages.
Half and Half should be good, Jeff decided.
DNA Ratio: <50% Human / 50% Wolf>
Morphing Duration:<5 minutes>
Might as well make it quick, he added.
Pleasurable: <Y>
Jeff nodded approvingly. He didn't want her to feel any pain(this was his mother after all).
Immediate Awareness: <N> (Subject will feel the change, but will not be shocked or terrified by it)
Alter Reality: <N>
Jeff didn't want her to be scared, and it was gonna be Halloween soon so no need to alter reality.
He scrolled down to the "Details" options.
Height increase: <2.5 feet(proportionally)>
Jeff did the mental math; Mom is 5'9, so that would put her at about...8'3?
Wow, he thought, that would be interesting to see.
<Change will not effect mental state of subject>
Jeff breathed a sigh of relief as he skimmed through the rest of the settings, and decided not to tamper with anything else.
Finally, Jeff hit the bottom of the page, finding a large green icon labeled; "Start Change: 5:00"
His heart began to race with anticipation.
Let's do this, he clicked the icon. The timer began to count down.
"Jeff, dinner in 5!" Mom's familiar voice called
Perfect Timing, Jeff thought with a smile.
"Coming Mom," he got up from his chair and started toward the door.
This was gonna be so cool, he thought as he exited the room.
