16-year-old Jacob didn't want to get new shoes. He'd barely worn his latest pair of shoes for three months, and he wasn't ready for a new pair. The ones he had right now were perfectly fine.
Nonetheless, his father pushed him to get new ones. "Sports season is coming up," he told him.
Which didn't make much sense to someone like Jacob. He was 5'6" which was rather short for his age. He wasn't all that skinny, but he wasn't fat or chubby by any means. He was somewhat thin one could say. He had dark drown hair and light brown eyes. With his friends he'd rather talk about video games or the latest tech coming out, showing he had little to no interests in sports outside of P.E... Which his father knows!
When he tried to explain that he just wasn't built for sports, his father shook his head.
With a sigh, he gave into his father's odd behavior and walked over to the new store around the corner, Funko's. He'd heard it was a kinda weird shop, but he decided to go there anyway.
"Hello, welcome to Funko's Footwear," greeted a rather fit male employee. He looked to be in college. "How can I help you?"
Jacob nervously laughed. "Hey, I'm Jacob. My dad wants me to get some shoes since he wants me to get into sports, even though I've never really been into sports. Don't know what sport to play or what to get," he explained.
"We get that here sometimes, Jacob. Follow me, I think I have just the thing!" Jacob followed the employee to the 'Sports' section of the shop. "What size are you?" he asked.
