I am new to doing this, so please be patient with the length of my stories
Are we there yet, Ryan?" A 14 year old teenager asked while looking up at his brother from the map. "It feels like we've been in this car for days."
"I think we are five minutes from Moon Lake. And can you stop asking that ridiculous question, Thomas? Your not five any more and mom and dad took things away from you when you kept it going. I don't want to do that too" Ryan said. "Plus it's just what you asked for when I graduated from the police academy last week." The two men finishing their thousand mile drive into the town line of Moon Lake. "There it is. Moon Lake Washington."
"And a new school for me to find friends and start over while you go to work in the police station. Did you get my transcript sent over or did that slip the great mind of Officer Munding?" Thomas asked.
"I got it sent and you start next week." Ryan said as he pulls into the driveway of a small two bedroom house. "Doesn't it look great. The forest in the backyard and a view that keeps going on."
"Yea. But it doesn't have mom or dad. And I said a vacation not a full blown move." Thomas said as he got out of the car. Ryan sighs as he knows there is not getting through to his brother.
Maybe I should talk to the town therapist to help him get over their death. I know it wasn't his fault the car went over the bridge but the idiot who decided to drink a bottle of rum and drive to his exs house to kill her. Ryan thought as he recalled the report of their death. Ryan gets out and starts unpacking the car as the moving van pull up in the street. "Just put things where they need and we will do the rest."
"Yes sir." The movers said as they start unloading the truck.
